Travel Information

By Plane:

We recommend you fly into Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) or into Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF). If you choose to fly into Santa Fe Regional Airport, please note you will need to find your own transport to the Retreat Center.  

 

Albuquerque Airport Shuttle Service:
Group shuttle pickup from and to ABQ airport on October 1st and October 7th is included in your payment. There will be two shuttle pick up times on October 1st from ABQ to the Retreat Center and one on October 7th from the Retreat Center to ABQ. The drive is approximately 2.5 hours. Education Director, Madalena, will be in touch asking if you will need a transfer. The 2 pick up times from ABQ will be organized and scheduled based on participants travel itineraries. Please be mindful of our schedule below when booking flights.

Check in begins at 3 pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Dinner is 6:30-8:15pm and the Opening Ceremony will be at 8:30pm. 
*We recommend a flight that lands before 1:30 pm.

​

Check-out is by 11am on Monday, October 7, 2024. 
 

All participants are required to be present from the Opening Ceremony on October 1st (starts at 8:30pm) through the end of the Closing Ceremony on October 6th (ends at approx 7:30pm) 
 

By Car:

Uber Service - You can download the app to your phone and connect it with your bank card. In some more remote areas, it takes a while to find a driver or they might be inexistent. You can download the app to your phone - For iPhone and For Android.

Rental Cars - If you wish to rent a car, you can do so directly at Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) or at Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF)

​

Arriving:

If you are someone who needs extra time to adjust to new surroundings or travel, you might consider booking an additional night at a hotel or Airbnb before the retreat begins.

​

Travel Itinerary

All participants must share their travel itineraries with the Education Director by August 30, 2024

Dietary Allergies

All our meals will be vegetarian made from local produce. Please submit any dietary allergies during registration. If you did not, please let us know of any restrictions as soon as possible by emailing info@mediumfleur.com

Suggested Packing List

  • Passport

  • Fitness/yoga clothes for sessions & activities 

  • Comfortable clothes for day & warm clothes for evenings (layers!) 

  • Sport shoes or/and comfortable shoes 

  • Flipflops 

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Personal & Hygienic items incl. toothpaste, & other toiletries 

  • Power converter for wall plugs 

  • A raincoat or umbrella in case of rain

  • Sunglasses 

  • Earplugs for night 

  • Headphones

  • All needed medications (be sure to keep in hand luggage) 

  • Notepad or notebook 

  • Snacks - all meals are provided, but feel free to bring your own snacks.

Weather 

October in Taos, NM is pleasant autumn weather, with warm sunny days and cool nights.

​

The average temperature during the day is usually anywhere from 57°F (14°C) to 70°F (21°C), and the average night temperature is usually in a range of 45°F (7°C) down to 30°F (-1°C).

FAQ 

What will be included with the room?

A mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig, a hairdryer, and hangers/luggage rack, and Public Goods soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. 

​

Are yoga mats provided?

Yoga mats & props will be provided

Is laundry service available?

There is no laundry on-site â€‹

What is included?

All classes, Q&A, meditations, embodiment classes, and activities, physical workbook to accompany all teachings and retreat follow-up integration techniques, freshly prepared vegetarian meals with local produce, Travel to/from ABQ airport on October 1st and 7th, and lodging at the retreat center. As a reminder, airfare and other travel expenses are not included in the cost.

Is pricing in US dollars?

Yes, pricing listed on our website is in US dollars.

 

Will there be alcohol? 

Alcohol is not provided or available with meals.

Is there a vegetarian option for food?

Yes, all meals offered at Hyperslow Retreat Center will be vegetarian. We can create vegan options, if needed. Please be sure to input your dietary restrictions during registration. 

 

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available

Is there parking at the retreat center?
Yes, there is accessible parking and entry into the Retreat Center. 

​

Are there ADA compliant rooms at the retreat center? 

Yes, there are 2 ADA compliant rooms (1 Single & 1 Large Double) - please email info@mediumfleur.com to see if one is still available prior to submitting your deposit.

Is there an elevator? â€‹

There is no elevator at the retreat center. Certain rooms are on the second floor, and do require you take stairs to access them. If you are not capable of taking the stairs, please email info@mediumfleur.com to ensure we can get you a room on the first floor. â€‹

Can I bring a guest? 
This retreat is designed to foster a focused and intimate experience for registered participants. To ensure the best environment for everyone, only registered participants are allowed to stay on the premises. If you wish to go to the retreat with a partner/friend and stay in the same room, you may do so. Please email info@mediumfleur.com to discuss options.

Logistics

I want to join the retreat, what are my next steps? 

Make your $500 deposit using the link below. Our Education Director will reach out with registration paperwork, including a consent form and information form for you to fill out. Upon completion, she will be in touch about payment schedule, travel itinerary, and more. Once you receive the consent form, please read it carefully and submit it within 2 weeks of receiving to ensure you do not forfeit your spot. If we do not hear from you for 30 days, you will forfeit your spot.

What is the cancellation policy?

Medium Fleur Inc. does not offer refunds for the deposit for any reason, nor is the deposit transferable to other retreat dates. 

 

If you should need to cancel prior to August 30, 2024, the full payment deadline, you will not be responsible for the remainder of your payment. 

 

Should you need to cancel on or after August 30, 2024, the remainder of your payment must be paid in full and no refund will be issued, nor will your payment carry over to future retreat dates.  

 

Medium Fleur Inc. is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, positive covid test, extended lodging, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.

Are payment plans available? 

Yes! Once you pay the non-refundable $500 deposit to reserve your spot, our team will be in touch about payment options and plans to set something up that works best for you.  

​

If you choose to pay by installments, the dates to make each payment need to be respected and paid on time, as previously agreed and defined with a member of Fleur's team.

 

When is my remainder due?

If you choose to pay via installments, all payments are due by August 30, 2024. 

If you choose to pay in full, all payments are due by July 31, 2024. 

If you do not pay by the time agreed above you forfeit your spot with no refund.

 

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is mandatory for every participant not currently residing in the USA and documentation must be sent to the Education Director by August 30, 2024. 

 

Will I need a visa or valid passport? 

Depending on where you are traveling from, you may need an ESTA or a travel visa.  

​

ESTA (electronic system for travel authorization) - on this page you can find instructions on applying and the list of countries eligible to apply under the Visa Waiver Program. 

​

​

If you are traveling with a passport, please be sure to check that it is valid for the duration of the visit. Many countries have a 6-month rule, which you can read about here
